Aston Matthews now offers an appointments service at both its Guildford and Islington showrooms.
Originally introduced as a way of restricting numbers in the store post Lockdown, the system has now proved extremely popular with customers and is likely to be permanent.
It is easy for customers to book an appointment online on the dedicated website page. This gives them the option to choose the day and time most convenient for them to visit the shop where they can spend time with a member of staff discussing their bathroom project. Steve Cook, showroom manager at Aston Matthews Islington, says, “There are real advantages to the new appointments system. Each customer gets a dedicated slot when they are guaranteed one of our expert team can sit down with them and go through plans. We are finding that the majority of our customers are taking advantage of the scheme to the extent that on certain days of the week we are almost fully booked."
Customers are of course still welcome to visit the showroom without an appointment, but at the present time there are strict limits on the number of people allowed in the shop. Other measures taken to protect both customers and staff include:
- Hand sanitising stations
- Social distancing floor markers and signage throughout
- Dividing Perspex screens between staff and customers
- Frequent disinfecting of surfaces and handled products throughout the day
- Contactless payment where possible
