News from the Islington Showroom – Banksy Makes his Mark

Last year Banksy caused quite a stir on Essex Road when some of his famous graffiti appeared on the end wall of the shops opposite the Aston Matthews showroom.
The image, created in the dead of night, depicts a child raising a Tesco carrier bag up a pole while two others salute the flag. Much interest was shown in the piece with passers by pausing to take photographs with their mobile phones.
Not wanting to be left out we wheeled a cast iron roll top bath down the road - we think it adds a certain style to the installation.
